Luna Ragozino

Rania Moalla

  • Rania Moalla is a second-year student at Sciences Po Paris, Menton Campus, majoring in Politics and Government. Born and raised in Tunis, her political ambitions towards her country led her to grow interest in the geopolitical issues of the Maghreb and more globally of the MENA region. This is how the human and social sciences, including international relations, quickly fascinated her. She then discovered the universe of MUNs 2 years ago, which became one of the greatest parts of her life, especially when she was elected President of the MUN club of her school in her senior year. From that moment, she chained delegations and committees, going from delegate to chair. Previously Secretary, Day-Of Logistics and Projects Supervisor, she is very pleased to be your Logistics Director for this year's conference. She will manage a pole of five people, which will take care of searching for sponsors and partners, organize the social events and catering during the conference, as well as merch and material, without forgetting managing the budget and finances of the conference. Her logistics team and she hopes you'll live your best diplomatic moments in Menton!

  • Luna Ragozino is a second-year student at Sciences Po, majoring in Political Humanities on the Menton Campus. With a mix of French and Italian background, she also speaks English and Spanish, which has opened up opportunities for cross-cultural connections. Her journey into MUN started unexpectedly during high school when she was invited to attend a MUN conference at the Tanger French High School. She found herself captivated by the experience of learning about essential global issues, particularly those related to countries she had never heard about before. Driven by the enthusiasm of the experience, she took the initiative to establish a MUN club at her high school just a year later. As the club's founder and Secretary General, she led small simulations where she created the content and chaired. This exposure to leadership roles and international affairs ignited a desire in her to explore different and challenging aspects of MUN. Last year, for MEDMUN 2023, she took on the role of the International Criminal Court Committee Director, a challenging position for a committee she had never simulated before. Despite the initial apprehension, she learned valuable lessons and gained a deeper understanding of global justice and legal procedures. Now, as Conference Director, she looks forward to leading and guiding a team of eleven individuals towards a successful and qualitative conference. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and she is determined to ensure with the rest of the team that the delegates have the best possible experience!

  • Natalie Messiha was born to Egyptian parents and raised in the UAE. She attended a French School and discovered her passion for MUNs in High School, where she worked her way up to become President of her school's MUN club. Naia Berliocchi

Dareen Mohamed

  • Dareen Mohamed is a first-year student at SciencesPo Menton and a D3C for English Committees at MEDMUN 2024. Being Jordanian-Ukrainian, she looks forward to seeing delegates and chairs from all around the world unite to stimulate groundbreaking debates. Dareen has participated in Model UN conferences throughout high school, which is one of the major reasons she chose the social sciences. Through her role as D3C for English Committees, she is hoping to create a community where new and experienced delegates learn to debate from various perspectives, as well as respect, value, and truly think about opposing viewpoints of their fellow delegates in order to leave MEDMUN having heard new opinions from different backgrounds.

  • Naia Berliocchi is a first-year student at Sciences Po Paris, Campus of Menton. Born and raised in Bayonne, near the French-Spanish border, and of Italian origin, she grew up surrounded by a mix of Mediterranean cultures. Interested in these Med countries’ inner-state relations and their diplomatic interactions with the MENA region countries, she has taken a keen interest in human rights causes, especially the refugee crisis. As she aspires to pursue a career in journalism, her internships in various media have deepened her knowledge of global conflicts, crises, divisions, climate issues and inequalities, and therefore, her understanding of the geopolitical situation in the Middle East, which she continues to enhance here at Sciences Po Menton. Aware of the importance of honest and accurate information for effective understanding, thinking and action, she is delighted to be joining the MEDMUN 2024 board as the Head of Press.

Khales Omar

Jeanne Baube

  • Jeanne Baube is a second-year student at Sciences Po Menton and the Director of the Italian Committee for MEDMUN 2024. Born in France but expatriated in Rome for five years, she chose to combine her passion for Italy and her growing interest in diplomacy in order to build a multicultural conference in line with her double perspective. She has been recently familiar with MUNs, especially throughout the 2023 Italian committee that she is now looking forward to representing. She is motivated to create a stimulating debate around pertinent issues concerning the MENA region, especially the Mediterranean area, in which Italy embraces a central role. She is determined to build enriching exchanges filled with historical, political and social conversations around current key matters. Extroverted, serious and creative, Jeanne will be dedicated to the organization of Medmun 2024, which she considers to be an occasion to excel and gain more knowledge about the MENA region.

  • Khales Omar is a first-year student at Sciences Po, Campus of Menton. Born and raised in Rabat, his interest in the MENA region began with reading several newspaper articles, but also novels like "The Fist of God" by Forsyth Frederick or "The Last Order" by Tom Clancy. Thus, studying at the Menton Campus was a logical choice for him since the themes and issues addressed there are linked to his interests, and it's also an occasion to develop his knowledge of the region. Diplomatic issues, such as international relations and geopolitics, fascinate him, as do international criminal cases. Hence, he aspires to work as a diplomat in the future. He has already had multiple experiences at MUN, having been deputy general secretary of his high school club and having participated in simulations such as MAMUN in Casablanca in 2022, which gave him the opportunity to improve his knowledge of MUN. Within the MEDMUN team, he will be the head of the French Court.

Eliott Palleau

Eléonore Blanchet

  • Eliott Palleau is a second-year student at Science Po Paris, Campus de Menton. He discovered MUNs in Middle school and has never stopped since. As his participation grew, so did his knowledge and interest in international relations and global matters, which brought him to the MENA region. While researching this area, he discovered its cultural and historical wealth as well as the regional and global issues the region faces. Eliott is also passionate about understanding and fighting social reproduction to allow an equal and fair chance for all. This is why he is delighted to take on the role of Head of Finance, Sponsorships and Partnerships. He will do his utmost to make the conference an unforgettable event that is accessible for all.

  • Eléonore Blanchet is a first-year student enrolled in the Dual Degree between Sciences Po Paris and University College London. Raised on both sides of the Channel Sea, Eleonore noticed early on how abstract theories and policies become grounded in everyday life. She understood that her perception of the environment she lived in as a child was a mirror of each city's specific cultural balance, economic dynamic and heritage. This perspective, combined with her fascination with the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern region, the birthplace of the earliest cities, made the Menton campus an enticing choice for her. The spirit of her years in London and the emphasis placed on initiative-taking and extracurricular activities as an integral part of self-growth have given Eleonore the impetus to be active in her community. Formerly Secretary General of her school's MUN, Eléonore has participated in international conferences such as BIMUN Esade 2022 and 2023. Replying to her constant search for intellectual challenge, involvement in her community and the broadening of her horizons, Eleonore is delighted to take on the role of the Head of English Court for MEDMUN 2024!

She grew up between Milan and Vienna, where attending an International school throughout High School and partaking in the IBDP, taught her to appreciate the interdependence of global affairs and to analyze current events through the lens of colonialism. Passionate about human rights, Maria chose the Menton campus to foster her interest, especially within the realm of immigration issues in the Mediterranean. Throughout her time as President of her High School’s MUN club, Maria learned to appreciate the value of this organization as a means of cultivating greater awareness of global issues and current events. Hoping to foster the conversation surrounding these vital topics, Maria is excited to join the Communications Pole to promote MEDMUN as a vessel for such discussions, and she is looking forward to working alongside the rest of the team to create an unforgettable MUN experience.

In addition, he was granted a scholarship to participate in both Harvard and Yale MUN in 2020 for his achievement at the Costa Rican International Model United Nations conference. For him, MUN means more than just another academic activity, as it allows students to develop their knowledge on global affairs within a safe space. He has always been passionate about topics regarding international law, world trade and sustainable development. Now, as part of the MEDMUN team and director of the Spanish Committee, he aims to make this year’s conference an amazing experience filled with multicultural perspectives and great memories

Having been born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey, her whole life, she grew up in one of the most multicultural and historically dense cities in the whole world. Kmar El Matri

Yassine Laaouina

Pedro Cortez

Bilge Benin Balmumcu

  • Kmar El Matri is a Tunisian first-year student in the Dual BA program between Sciences Po and Columbia University, planning to major in Economics and Politics. Witnessing the 2011 uprisings, this eye-opening event made Kmar fascinated by the importance of revolutions and being engaged in change. Living in three different countries - France, Tunisia, and Algeria - one of her biggest takeaways was understanding her country from three different points of view, making the cultural richness of MUN debates so attractive to her. For this reason, she has been doing MUN for the last six years, during which she has participated in more than eight conferences and been a part of three MUN clubs. She has been chair, the President, and foremost delegate, earning prizes at the Tunisian International National MUN simulation and Harvard Model UN in Boston. Hence, Kmar cannot wait to be a "witness" for the three days of heated debate, intense voting and emotional resolutions at MEDMUN 2024!

  • Yassine Laaouina is a first-year student at SciencesPo Paris, Campus de Menton. He was born and raised in Italy, but he has Moroccan origins. Being an Arab-Muslim born in Italy made him a mediator of himself and has become a strength that enables him to understand the world and its happenings. This understanding has led to an openness for each culture. He believes that to understand the world, one should combine different points of view, and day after day, his two stories and backgrounds, with the help of societies' view, help him in doing that. In 2022, he represented Chile at the UN Conference on Trade and Development at NHSMUN in New York City, United States. This year, Yassine will be Co-Head of Catering, Social Events, Accommodation and Transportation. He took over this position because of his passion for organization and planning. He will try his best to ensure that the logistics are taken care of and that everything runs smoothly for the conference!

  • Selin Elif Köse is a first-year student at Sciences Po Paris' Menton Campus, enrolled in the Dual BA Program with Columbia University. She is particularly interested in studying political economy and exploring the socioeconomic difference between East and West of Turkey. She has participated in her school's MUN club for five years and had the opportunity to hold positions as chair, ambassador and delegate at various conferences. This year, she is the Head of Workshops and Consulting. She looks forward to welcoming all delegates to MEDMUN. See you in Menton!

  • Julie Menon is a first-year student in the French track at Sciences Po Menton and D3C for the French Committee for MEDMUN 2024. Of French nationality, she has spent her entire life in North African countries, between Egypt, Morocco and Tunisia. Having lived mainly in the countries of the MENA region, she was able to discover the geopolitical issues of the region and, therefore, became more interested in history, geopolitics, but also in world peace issues. Julie's involvement in the MUN club in her high school, first as a member, then the following year as vice-president, and her participation in the MEDMUN 2022 and 2023 editions helped her build a general culture based on the preparation of debates, particularly within the framework of the system of international organizations. The choice of the Menton campus for Julie's studies then came naturally as she aims to understand better the geopolitical, societal and economic system that governs the countries of this region. Therefore, she is impatient to get involved in organizing MEDMUN 2024 as D3C for the French committees and to recreate this framework of international openness and debates with the entire MEDMUN 2024 board.

Passionate about debate and international issues, he continued JMUN for three years until the end of his middle school years. During his early years of high school, he participated in many MUN conferences and joined his school's MUN club. He additionally had a few chairing experiences. He then became the MUN club president and, thus, the Secretary General of the Saint-Michel Model United Nations Conference (SMUN). His interests in law, sustainability and international relations have pushed him to dive further into the world of diplomacy and, thus, MUN. Being from Istanbul, an immensely diverse city in any sense uniting Europe and Asia and from a geography linking the Mediterranean, the Black Sea, the Middle East, the Balkans, Anatolia, and even Africa is where his interest in International Relations originates and is the main reason why he is mainly focused on the Mediterranean region. The Mediterranean, which was and still is the most important sea on the entire planet, faces many problems, including humanitarian crises, pollution, civil unrest, and wars. It is, furthermore, a sea that reunites States and Nations with very different views and ethnic backgrounds, which makes it harder to solve these issues. This is why Osman, as the Delegate, Chair and Content Coordinator for English Committees, is more than excited to meet people from all around the world with many different perspectives and views. He is dedicated to creating a common ground of dialogue and search for solutions concerning the Mediterranean region at the MEDMUN 2024 Conference with you.
