Asia hajj chehade
Head of External Delegations
Asia is a first-year student at Sciences Po Paris, Campus de Menton. She was born and raised in Lebanon before moving to France in 2020 to pursue her academic goals. Growing up in Lebanon, at the heart of a region marked by political instability and humanitarian crises, she witnessed firsthand how decisions at local, national, and regional levels mould people’s lives in unpredicted ways.
The daily realities of life amid humanitarian strife across the region have shaped her understanding of the practical effects of politics, as well as her compassion for the light of the people affected. These formative experiences spurred her initial interest in human rights and international relations.
Drawn by the chance to translate awareness into collaborative discourse, she has been involved in Model United Nations since the beginning of high school. She turned her thoughts to the human aspect of international politics, focusing on how policies affect various communities and societies in flux.
Her appreciation for engaging with others and sharing meaningful experiences is what makes her, as Head of External Delegations, truly delighted to welcome delegates to another exciting edition of MEDMUN.
